Detailed description
The Sentiero dell’aquila is a 7 km (4,3 miles) long ring hiking itinerary located in the heart of the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Park. Its name refers to the area that it crosses, which is a hunting and nesting area for the golden eagle couple that lives in the slopes of the two gorges. During the itinerary, along which you will cross many equipped staging points where you can regain strength, our expert hiking guide will escort you through the downy oak woods, small villages and panoramic viewpoints so that you can get to know one of the richest and biodiverse areas of the Park.
