You can take a path from the hamlet of San Giorgio all’Isola, on the Gerosa Lake, to the hamlet of Altino di Montemonaco.
From here you can take the path heading west on a section of the Great Ring of Sibillini, also known as “sentiero dei mietitori” or “path of the reapers”, and then descend back to the lake following single track in the fascinating woods of Monte Oialona.
Alternatively, you can reach Balzo di Montegallo and the small hamlets of Propezzano and Polverina, avoiding the single track.
