The main ingredients of our activities are local products and unique experiences, as well as an amazing landscape. Flavours at sunset was created in partnership with Marchiagiando sas and L’Archetto Guest Home Precicchie with the aim of discovering and enjoying the products of our region.
Le Marche has many values: historic, cultural, naturalistic and gastronomic. We want you to experience the emotions that only a walk in nature, the discovering of a small village built in the eleventh century, a sip of Verdicchio wine and the traditional flavours of our dishes enjoyed at sunset can give you. Hoping that the journey through flavours will always be a discovery full of surprises and genuine involvement.

Fortress of Precicchie, Fabriano (AN)
From 8 to 50 participants. There is the possibility to organize an exclusive evening for couples or private groups by contacting the Appennino Incoming staff and telling them the preferred date.
- Guided tour in the village of Precicchie
- Light dinner with a view of the fortress

Sportswear and footwear suitable for hiking
- Smoking is forbidden during the full duration of the activity and in the parking area. There will be an outdoor smoking section in the village of Precicchie.
- Show up at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the activity.
- All the products come from local companies. If you have allergies, please ask the staff. Gluten, aniseed, lactose, eggs, sulphites and nuts can be found in our products.
- The initial walk is 1.6 km (3.7 mi) long and 110 meters (360 ft) of elevation gain uphill.
- For those who want to directly reach the fortress of Precicchie without attending the initial walk, the tour will start at 7.30 p.m. (Please contact the staff telling them the time of your arrival).
- For those who want to fully enjoy the activity, we suggest you to arrive around 6.30 p.m. in order to have time to reach the fortress of Precicchie by foot, visit it and go where the picnic will take place during sunset (within 8 p.m.). You will find the picnic station set up with a view of the fortress in order to both enjoy the food and the landscape! The event will end after sunset (at 9.30 p.m.), given that the panoramic viewpoint is not artificially illuminated.
- The picnic boxes are customed for the participants and are managed though delivery. The participants will pick up their box in a designated station.
- In case of bad weather, the activity will be postponed to the first available date.
- Tickets that are not used won’t be refunded.
- THE ACTIVITY IS CONFIRMED WITH AT LEAST 8 PARTICIPANTS.
- ORDER CANCELLATION: you can cancel your booking without penalties until 24 hours before the beginning of the activity itself. After this deadline the penalty corresponds to 100% of the order value.

Places
You can admire the nature and get to know the history of Le Marche’s hills which face the Esino Valley. The fortress of Precicchie in an old fief belonging to the Counts of Rovellone and it has been mentioned in many proceedings dating back to the XII century, even though it was probably built before. Its name (Precicchie) refers to the steep nature of the area in which it is build and that, over time, has represented a natural defence especially on the north side, which is completely inaccessible. Entering from the southern side, you will immediately notice the compact structure of the fortification system, which is formed by a tower above the access door and, on the same side, by the tall formwork walls, equipped with a tank. The small village has preserved all its beauty over time and is surrounded by unspoiled nature and a beautiful landscape. You can enjoy it especially during the events organized by the Associazione Castello di Precicchie that has been working to promote this place for over thirty years.
Atmosphere
The fortress of Precicchie is a unique historic and naturalistic location. Take a walk in nature to reach the fortress while enjoying the view of the small village and meeting locals. You can also have a light dinner with a view of the fortress or dinner with a view of the manor. This location represents the occasion to take a break from the rest of the world, all while being surrounded by nature.
Flavours
You can enjoy a special picnic during sunset. We will give you a box full of traditional and local flavours created in partnership with Marchigiando sas. A sip of Verdicchio wine will combine all the flavours of our region as well as the sour cherry wine with aniseed biscotti that you can taste while comfortably waiting for sunset.
Simplicity
We love simple things that are well done, in fact we only use eco-friendly and recyclable materials. We carefully take care of everything: soft cushions to sit on, proper distance between the different groups so that our guests can fully enjoy the sunset, etc. Music is offered by nature: nightingales, woodpeckers, cuckoos, crickets and cicadas will sing during sunset, and at night you might also hear the song of an owl. The panoramic viewpoint that faces on the Esino Valley will be the perfect location for a unique summer night.
